These free group sessions offer White Rock-South Surrey participants the chance to learn from health clinicians and, importantly, from others who are experiencing chronic pain. Participants also have the chance to practice the knowledge and skills gained between each session.
The series has 3 sessions; each session runs 90-minutes from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.:
Participants can attend the sessions in-person or online. In all 3 sessions, emphasis is placed on the importance of non-medication treatments to manage chronic pain whether taking medications or not. During the medication sessions, a Neighbourhood Nurse and Pharmacist will review medication options, potential side effects, and how to manage those side effects, along with opioid safety.
Referral required – ask your Family Physician to refer you. Space is limited to 10 participants per session.
